Most people avail the bus as a means of transport and prefers to board running buses while they are on the move. People in the Galapagos Islands as well as those in Ecuador greet each other on meeting by shaking hands and mentioning the time of the day such as Buenos Dias (good morning), Buenos noches (good evening).
