Yellow-crowned Night Heron who are nocturnal hunters are found on this beach. The islands which are located close to this beach serve the purpose of anchor sites for the tourist ships.

Post Office Bay: Tourists nowadays leave over letters here to be picked up by the next bunch of tourists following a tradition wherein the sailors used to leave letters for their loved ones back at this post office bay while they were out on a long and far voyage. Behind the post office barrel is located a large lava tube and the entrance to the lava tunnels is through stairs. Frigate Birds are commonly found in this place. Rays are quite often seen floating around the boats. No tourist can afford to miss out on the fast sun setting over the equator.
Punta Cormorant: This is a large lagoon with a number of birds belonging to different species found here. Flamingos feed in this lagoon with their heads immersed in water. Shrimps are the staple food of the flamingos. Yellow warblers and flycatcher are the other two species of birds found in this place. Although the name of this place is Punta Cormorant, no cormorants are encountered at this place which has some 1000 insects.
