Railway: The railway system of Nanjing is the most important traffic route in East China. The network of highways and railways on either side of the River is connected through Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, Nanjing No. 2 Yangtze River Bridge, and the marshalling yard for freight trains in East China. Nanjing is the meeting point of the four trunk railways of Beijing to Nanjing, Shanghai to Nanjing, Nanjing to Wuhu in Anhui and Wuhu to Yingtan in Jiangxi. Nanjing acts as the primary railway hub which connects with Central China, East China and North China. The speed of the passenger trains and freight trains has been raised. The harbor area extends to over 208 kilometers with more than 300 jetties of various sizes, 210 berths of 1000T class.
Aviation: Nanjing Lokou International Airport, with a handling capacity of 12 million passengers and 78 domestic and overseas flight routes, is one of the important trunk line airports in China.
Urban Traffic: Nanjing has roads in urban districts measuring up to 3850km, with a total of almost 4360 buses.
