You have to follow some travel etiquette in Istanbul if you want to enjoy your trip in the city. Major tourist spots in Istanbul are the mosques, which are the gathering places for faithful Muslims. The tourists should always remember to take out their shoes before entering any mosque in Egypt. Women must cover their head and arms before entering a mosque. The tourists who wear shorts or tank tops must be dressed carefully before visiting a mosque. You can also borrow shawls, scarves and skirts from the mosque entrance. Men must not wear headgears. Photos are not allowed to be taken at all the mosques. You should not take the photo of any person who is making prayers and also should not enter any mosque at the time of a prayer service.


The travel etiquette in Istanbul that you have to follow in the social environment, are very significant. You should not point your foot sole at any body. Passing someone anything with your left hand is considered to be an insult. Sitting cross-legged in front of an aged person and showing affection at public places are also thought to be very expressions of a very bad conduct.
