The reservoir, now known as Lake Nasser was also constructed with the idea of protecting Egypt from the tremendous droughts common with the country, which did come of use during the African drought of 1980s and 1990s.

Built completely of stainless steel, it rises from the ground to an incredible 630 ft in the shape of an inverted necklace.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial – A masterpiece of architecture and rock carving, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is the greatest mountain carving in the world, and took great labor to complete it to perfection. Located in South Dakota, it has the faces of the four famous presidents – Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln carved out of the mountain. |
