 The white marble tomb is the main attraction of Tajmahal. Typical to Mughal tombs, the main features are Persian in style. The base has a symmetrical building with an iwan, an arch-shaped doorway and a large dome. The tomb is erected on a square pedestal the graves of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are located here in the central vaults in the base of Taj mahal. The tomb is framed by four minarets each situated on one corner. These minarets add decoartion and beauty as well as provide balance to the base of Taj mahal. |
