The Red Fort

Situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, this fort is surrounded by 70 foot high wall. It was built by Emperor Akbar in year 1565 A.D. and contains the Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Moti Masjid and Diwan-i-Khas. The fort has four gates and a double barricade made of red sandstone to make it a secured site.

Ram Bagh. Mughal Garden.
The Ram Bagh gardens are located near the Taj Mahal of Agra. They were planned and laid by the Emperor Babur. They are beautifully laid and are open to the public during daytime.


Sikandra
The tomb of Emperor Akbar lies at Sikander about 4 kms away from Agra. Akbar supervised the construction of the tomb himself during his lifetime. The rest of the tomb was completed by his son Jahangir after Akbar's death. The Architecture is a perfect blend of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain architecture. A five storey building the tomb also houses the remains of Akbar's daughters, Shakrul Nisha Begum and Aram Bano
Taj Mahal tourist guide Jama Masjid This mosque was built by Jehanara Begum, the daughter of Shahjahan. The mosque is built in memory of Sufi leader Sheikh Salim Chisti. The inscriptions and inlaid geometric designs and coloured tiles are aesthetically laid and depict Iranian architecture.

Bharatpur Bird sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana Natiuonal Park) is a noteworthy tourist spot. It is a home to almost 300 species of birds and migratory birds. Within a Sanctuary a hotel and resort have been provided for people who want to spend some time in nature as well.
