The quality of the marble used for building Taj is such that it still retains its glow and splendour after so many years of building it. But recently scientists and environmentalists are saying that the walls might get stained due to pollution and other such causes. The Taj mahal of Agra is not only an artistic masterpiece but also a monument of love and one of the most beloved structures in the world. Hence it is our duty to protect this monument from disintegration because it is apart of or unique and rich culture and heritage. It is a treasure that we have to pass on to our coming generations. Therefore it should be seen that it is protected from any harm and damage.

The Taj Mahal of Agra has been built entirely with Marble. This Marble was specially brought from Makrana from the state of Rajasthan. The colour of this Marble is pure white and thus adds to the glamour and beauty of the Taj. This marble changes colour at different times of the day. It is slightly pinkish during early mornings, pristine white in the afternoons and golden during nights. The scientific explanation for this phenomenon is that it happens because of the precious and semi-precious stones embedded on the walls of Taj. But a more alluring and interesting answer is that it depicts the changing moods of a woman.
