Images of Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat was constructed during the Khmer civilization around ninth and thirteenth century A.D in the Southeast Asian country of Cambodia. It is one of the most incredible and marvelous illustration of the architectural excellence of man.


The Khmer rulers extended their reign from Vietnam to China up to the Bay of Bengal. Currently over 100 stone temples are present. Angkor Wat was constructed during the early parts of thirteenth century by Suryavaram II, which pays homage to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is a symbolic illustration of Hindu mythology.
