The banks are generally open from 9 am to 2 pm all throughout the country. A tourist need not necessarily worry if he/she is coming from any other European Union country because the Euro is the common currency of the European Union.
A few of the shops that are located in small towns of Rhodes do not accept credit cards. Otherwise credit cards are accepted by and large by every shop and hotel located in and around Rhodes Island. Most credit cards charge a fee of about 3%.
